Financial Risk Group was a platinum sponsor for the 4th Annual Great Plains Institutional Investor Forum, held last week in Minneapolis, MN.
The forum is an educational initiative designed through coordination with the region’s leading institutional investors to build a network of peer communities that “merge global best practices with local expertise,” per Markets Group, which organized the event. More than 100 staff members, investment officers, board members and trustees representing Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa attended.
Mike Forno, Dominic Pazzula, and Matt Felix represented FRG at the forum, participating in a full agenda of interest to the institutional investment market. Key discussion topics included Pension Plan De-Risking, Harvesting Trends in Asset Class Returns, Alternative Yield and Beta as well as panels on Emerging Markets and Impact/ESG Investing.
Shawn Wischmeier, Chief Investment Officer and Mike Ruetz, Head of Risk and Asset Allocation for Margaret A Cargill Philanthropies, were guests of FRG and co-presenters at the forum. They discussed how the charitable organization uses FRG’s VOR (Visualization of Risk) platform to successfully and more efficiently conduct its Strategic Risk Premia Allocation program.
